Casagwa Ruins Park, the most popular tourist destination

The Casagwa ruins park are located from the town of Daraga,Albay. The town of Casagwa was buried or much damaged

when the Mayon Volcano erupted and it was buried with a pyroclastic flow or lahar ejected from a volcano, And the church of Casagwa was destroyed during that most destructive eruption. The eruption of Mayon Volcano or Mount Mayon happened on February 1, 1814. Almost 1,200 people killed on the said eruption. And only the bell tower facade of the Casagwa church survive and still standing along time ago.

According to the vulcanologist, Mayon Volcano is an active stratovolcano in the Philippines,like other volcanoes Mayon is a part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Volcano emitting dark ash and later on, the town of Cagsawa was buried with a pyroclastic materials ejected from a volcano. The eruption killed almost 1,200 people and also the Casagwa church was destroyed. And now, the Casagwa ruins park are one of the most well known tourist spot destination in the area.
